Barrett-Jackson's Palm Beach auction concluded on Sunday with more than $18 million in sales at the South Florida Fairgrounds. A 2011 Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 crossed the block for $1,000,000. The Abarth 695 Maserati Edition – a.k.a. Edizione Maserati – will cost £32,000 when it arrives in the UK at the end of 2012. Having churned out a tribute to Ferrari with the Abarth 695 Tributo Ferrari, Fiat (we should say Abarth, to be technically correct) revealed the Abarth 695 Tributo Maserati at the Geneva Motor Show in March to bring in a few bob more from those happy to pay through the nose for a titivated Fiat 500.
The Toyota GT86 Convertible – in the guise of the FT-86 Open Concept has arrived earlier than Toyota would like ahead of a Geneva debut. Toyota teased the convertible GT86 with a sketch of the FT-86 Open Concept a few weeks ago – with a promise that all would be revealed at the 2013 Geneva Motor Show – but it’s arrived a bit earlier than Toyota wanted. The intrepid folks at FT86Club have managed to come up with photos of the FT-86 Open Concept (above) – and video – ahead of the official reveal by Toyota – and it looks pretty good.
